In addition, nearly all respondents (99%) said that getting together for a coffee break is important for team morale and that the majority of them (94%) look forward to a\u00a0coffee break with colleagues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Nadia Roberts, Brand Manager here at NESCAF\u00c9, said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u201cOur research shows that coffee breaks at work aren\u2019t just a \u2018nice to have\u2019 but are an important part of the day for employees \u2013 particularly for those that are experiencing feelings of loneliness. Breaks give workers time that\u2019s been specifically carved out to connect, talk and engage with each other and an opportunity to take time out and switch off from the day-to-day pressures \u2013 important for workers in any small business, but particularly a sector like construction, and the related trades such as plumbers, carpenters and electricians, which are\u00a0typically male-dominated.\u201d &#8230;.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">How are we helping to reduce loneliness for construction workers?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">As part of our Make Chat Work campaign, which is running February-May, we\u2019ve partnered with the\u00a0Federation of Small Businesses, which represents 150,000 small businesses in the UK, as well as construction industry bodies the\u00a0Federation of Master Builders\u00a0(FMB) and the\u00a0Construction Industry\u00a0Council\u00a0(CIC), to deliver insights, webinars, information and assets to help small businesses improve workplace wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Caroline Lavelle,\u00a0Chief Commercial Officer at FSB, said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u201cWorkplace\u00a0well-being\u00a0is incredibly relevant and important to our vast small business community. We like to provide our members with knowledge and tools that enable them to run their business better, and\u00a0the Make Chat Work campaign does just that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Through the partnership with the CIC, we\u2019ll also be making a donation to\u00a0the\u00a0construction industry charity\u00a0The Lighthouse Club, which provides financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Bill Hill,\u00a0CEO at the Lighthouse Club charity, which provides financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families, said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u201cExperiencing poor\u00a0well-being\u00a0is an everyday reality for thousands of construction workers. Stress, anxiety and depression\u00a0account for a fifth of all work-related illnesses and every single working day in the UK, two construction workers take their own lives. We welcome campaigns like Make Chat Work \u2013 it\u2019s an opportunity to ignite conversation around workplace wellbeing and brings to life the importance of workers in the sector talking more.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">We have created tools that are easily accessible to all<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">We\u2019ve also created various tools, for employers looking to support workplace well-being, which are free for businesses to download. This includes a Make Chat Work Guide packed full of insights, knowledge and practical tips on how to make the most of the coffee break in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">There are also printable assets to display in the office including a \u2018NESCAF\u00c9 Your Way\u2019 sheet to note how colleagues like to take their hot drinks and \u2018Icebreaker\u2019 and \u2018Conversation Starter\u2019 suggestions, designed to help ignite chat and interaction with co-workers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Brian Berry,\u00a0Chief Executive of the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u201cMental health is a top priority for the FMB so our partnership with NESCAF\u00c9 is another great way to highlight workplace wellbeing. Builders face many pressures in their day-to-day lives and it\u2019s great that many FMB members share their own mental health challenges to help others.
