Some local areas have a local coordinator who helps promote and organise the festival within an area. Some will even do the registration for you!\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritageopendays.org.uk\/organising\/how-to-get-involved\/local-coordinators\">Check out the local coordinator hubs here<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 &#8211; Connect with us\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritageopendays.org.uk\/portal\/login-request-organiser\">Ask for a login<\/a>\u00a0to join the community and\u00a0gain access to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritageopendays.org.uk\/portal\">Organiser area<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; this is where you&#8217;ll find the registration form\u00a0and a whole host of regularly updated support materials.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 &#8211; Submit your details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your event details using the form in your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritageopendays.org.uk\/portal\/events\">Organiser area \/ My events section<\/a>. Event registration is open\u00a0until 5pm on 10th August.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3 &#8211; Check your listings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most events need to be reviewed by the team before being fully registered,\u00a0if there&#8217;s a query we&#8217;ll be in touch, otherwise you will get an email to notify you that is has been\u00a0approved for\u00a0publication. This might take a few weeks as we&#8217;re a small team, please bear with us!<\/p>\n<p>Listings go live on the website in early summer &#8211; \u00a0do check your entry is correct and present.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4\u00a0&#8211; Create your promotion materials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Use our online templates to promote your event throughout your community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5 &#8211; Keep us posted<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Let us know if anything needs changing in the run up to the event.
