{"id":3602,"date":"2012-01-21T09:34:32","date_gmt":"2012-01-21T09:34:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=3602"},"modified":"2012-01-21T09:34:32","modified_gmt":"2012-01-21T09:34:32","slug":"heritage-alliance-launches-2012-15-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=3602","title":{"rendered":"Heritage Alliance launches 2012-15 strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Heritage Alliance has launched its 2012-15 strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Heritage Alliance writes:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Heritage Day on 8 December 2011 was a moment to reflect on the organisational development of the Alliance with the publication of the Annual Review of 2011, and a look forward to the organisation\u2019s direction over the next three years through the Strategic Plan 2012-15.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Annual Review charts the main areas of Alliance activity in 2011 \u2013 particularly lobbying on planning reform and the start of work on developing philanthropy \u2013 and also analyses the Alliance\u2019s constituency, notably the primary focus of its 92 members, as well as a breakdown of the readership of Heritage Update.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Taking as its theme \u2018Leadership, Influence and Enterprise\u2019 the Alliance\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theheritagealliance.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/THA-2-Strategic-plan-copy.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Strategic Plan 2012-15 <\/a>sets out the principles behind the Alliance\u2019s work: that the non heritage organisations have a unique and crucial role in protecting and promoting our heritage; that enjoying and caring for our heritage is of lasting public value for present and future generations; and that by valuing the contribution made by thousands of groups, individuals and volunteers, the Alliance celebrates the diversity of the heritage movement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With these in mind, in the period 2012-15 the Alliance will place more emphasis on public understanding of the social value of heritage, extend its membership and support the financial resilience of the non-government heritage bodies.
