IHBC-accredited Rebecca Thompson, Senior Estate Manager at English Heritage, past President of the CIOB, and Yorkshire Branch Committee member, has had her Expression of Interest in the role of IHBC Vice President – and Council Vice Chair – formally welcomed by the IHBC\u2019s Board.<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n
IHBC\u2019s Chair, David McDonald, and President, Mike Brown, said: \u2018We were delighted to hear of Rebecca\u2019s interest in this senior role on the IHBC.\u00a0 Her huge experience as a conservation practitioner, heritage ambassador and energetic volunteer will add substantial capacity to our operations.\u00a0 Accordingly, the Board enthusiastically welcomed her nomination at its meeting in December\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u2018Many will know too that we are continuing to look at a charter petition for the IHBC in line with plans agreed at our 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM), and she has already been helping advise us on modernising our governance in line with those standards.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018Rebecca\u2019s name will now go forward for election to the post at the next Council, now re-scheduled to late March, likely tied to celebrations to mark the end of 25th anniversary programme, #IHBC25.\u2019<\/p>\n
