Most recently, Joe worked for Museums Galleries Scotland where he led on the development and delivery of Scotland\u2019s National Strategy for Museums.<\/p>\n<p>Joe is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Manchester with a research focus on the evolution of the heritage sector. He is also a Trustee of the Culture, Animal and Active Trusts at the People\u2019s Postcode Lottery, a Trustee of Glasgow City Heritage Trust and a Community Councillor for the Springboig and Barlanark areas of Glasgow.<\/p>\n<p>Sue Evans, Chair of the Scottish Civic Trust, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the Trustees, I am delighted to welcome Joe to his new role as Director.\u00a0 Joe\u2019s understanding of the heritage sector, leadership skills and creativity will be crucial as we develop our new strategic plan.
