[slideshow_deploy id=’34803′]The IHBC is marking our 25th anniversary across this subscription year, from April 2022 to March 2023, and as part of looking back – and forward – we\u2019re celebrating some of the free IHBC \u2018jewels\u2019 that help members and the wider sector contribute to our charitable objects – supporting built and historic environment conservation across the UK and beyond – starting with this first feature: our Toolbox<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly said: \u2018The IHBC\u2019s ToolBox<\/a> developed first from 2012 as a suite of Members\u2019 digital resources to help online learning and applications for IHBC conservation accreditation.\u00a0 It was first called the IHBC\u2019s \u2018Webstarter\u2019, and then the \u2018Selfstarter\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018This service was then recast as the IHBC\u2019s ToolBox \u2013 in a phased development process from 2015 – creating an easy-access hub with other existing services.\u00a0 So for example we added our new Research Notes<\/a> and Guidance Notes<\/a> to help integrate the original service with our wider and expanding practice support.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Currently the ToolBox Home Page features 9 panels links to practice and career resources that include everything from the Sustainability Position Statement<\/a>, under our Standards and Guidelines<\/a> link, to our Design sources for historic building conservation,<\/em><\/a> under the Guidance Notes<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Do take some time to check out our ToolBox<\/a>, now also linked with the toolbox icon at the top of our Home Page<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018And you can see how the Toolbox<\/a> can reach a wider audience through the IHBC\u2019s Conservation Wiki<\/a> with select references listed HERE<\/a>\u2019<\/p>\n
