It will support the installation of energy performance measures in social homes in England, and help:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>deliver warm, energy-efficient homes<\/li>\n<li>reduce carbon emissions<\/li>\n<li>tackle fuel poverty<\/li>\n<li>support green jobs<\/li>\n<li>develop the retrofit sector<\/li>\n<li>improve the comfort, health and well-being of social housing tenants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><br \/>\nLocal authorities, combined authorities and registered providers of social housing (including housing associations and ALMOs that are registered providers) can apply to Wave 2 of the SHDF for funding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><br \/>\nThe competition window for SHDF Wave 2 funding is likely to open in late August \/ early September 2022, but you can begin preparing applications now. You can complete a self assessment using the Social Housing Retrofit Accelerator, in preparation for developing your bid.
