{"id":3373,"date":"2011-11-11T14:36:37","date_gmt":"2011-11-11T14:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=3373"},"modified":"2011-11-11T14:36:37","modified_gmt":"2011-11-11T14:36:37","slug":"ihbc%e2%80%99s-john-edwards-to-join-the-cadw-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=3373","title":{"rendered":"IHBC\u2019s John Edwards to join the Cadw team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_13210057115071016\">\n<p><span id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_13210057115071010\" style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">IHBC Wales Branch Committee member John Edwards is to leave his post in English Hertage to take up a new role with Cadw as Assistant Director, responsible for building conservation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>John said: \u2018 As Cadw\u2019s lead on building conservation issues I will continue with many of the issues I was concerned with at English Heritage, as well as managing 120 historic properties, which includes 5 world heritage sites.\u00a0 Usefully, too, Cadw is happy for me to continue with the IHBC Wales committee.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 142px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/llandudno2011\/images\/speakers\/john_edwards.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"John Edwards\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/llandudno2011\/images\/speakers\/john_edwards.jpg\" alt=\"John Edwards\" width=\"132\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">John Edwards<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Biographical note<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u2018Qualified in architectural and building conservation at postgraduate level, as well as being RICS accredited in building conservation, from 2009 John has held a senior professional position in the Conservation Department of English Heritage where he has a national remit.
