\"\"Bringing in-person and virtual delegates together at #IHBCAberdeen2022<\/a> meant anyone interested could join in the Day School \u2013 and even more at our Heritage MarketPlace<\/a> \u2013\u00a0 and here some key players headline its ambitions and achievements.<\/h3>\n

Scotland\u2019s Culture Secretary Angus Robertson said in his live-stream video<\/a>: \u2018By coming together for the Aberdeen 2022 School you are showing your commitment to raising a greater awareness and appreciation of the importance of working together towards climate resilience and sustainability for our built heritage\u2019<\/p>\n

Social Media adviser for the School\u2019s virtual delegates and networks, Dr Alison McCandlish, said: \u2018I really enjoyed attending the Annual School as a virtual delegate this year.\u00a0 It was a fascinating mix of speakers and themes, including the warm welcome from Scotland\u2019s Culture Secretary.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2026 IHBC Happy Hour at the MarketPlace<\/a> was a lot of fun too\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

\u2018Getting an insight into places \u2018on the edge\u2019 was also really interesting as delegates clearly learned about new policy and practice areas, and heard about topics that challenged our ideas of what is defined as heritage.<\/p>\n

\u2018And attending from home didn’t mean I missed out on meeting people or chatting. Afterwards I was able to get in touch with people I had met in Wednesday\u2019s free virtual Heritage MarketPlace<\/a> \u2013 which had opened the Full School programme on 15 June.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018The informal IHBC Happy Hour at the MarketPlace<\/a> was a lot of fun too, as the new format for 2022 meant we could peek into breakout rooms offering CPD, and ask questions too!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018All highly recommended indeed!\u2019<\/p>\n
