At the Heritage Fund we delivered our \u00a350 million Heritage Emergency Fund across the UK&#8230;\u00a0 We drew on our sector\u2019s collective expertise, including IHBC, to work with governments to invest and protect heritage and support communities.<\/p>\n<p>We should not underestimate the scale of the challenges or the pace of change required. We will need to build creative, multi-disciplinary partnerships and new skills to deliver for the UK\u2019s heritage. That is why the IHBC focus this year is so important, and I wish members well in considering these important themes.<\/p>\n<p>James Grundy writes:<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">\u2026we continue work on the APPG\u2019s exciting programme\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Other towns and cities [such as Aberdeen] in regions like my own native north-west have wrestled with similar economic transformations.
