The Construction Skills Certification Scheme<\/a> (CSCS<\/a>) has recognised IHBC\u2019s<\/a> professional<\/a> accreditation<\/a> (Full and Associate Members<\/a>) and support (CPD<\/a> etc.) in awarding its Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) cards.<\/p>\n

\u2026delighted that the IHBC\u2019s accreditation has achieved this core standard of recognition…<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

Chris Wood<\/a>, IHBC<\/a> Education Committee Chair<\/a> said: \u2018We are delighted that the IHBC\u2019s<\/a> accreditation<\/a> has achieved this core<\/a> standard<\/a> of recognition. This confirms that the IHBC\u2019s<\/a> own regulatory<\/a> procedures and advocacy in interdisciplinary conservation<\/a> practice<\/a> stand squarely alongside those familiar in more traditional<\/a> disciplines<\/a> and practices<\/a>, from archaeology<\/a> to architecture<\/a> and design<\/a> to planning<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

IHBC<\/a> Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly said: “This new recognition applies only to the IHBC\u2019s<\/a> accredited members<\/a>: Full members<\/a>, who are conservation<\/a> accredited in interdisciplinary conservation<\/a> practice<\/a>, and Associates, who are conservation<\/a> accredited typically in IHBC<\/a> practice<\/a> areas<\/a> related to their primary discipline<\/a>\u2026 now formal acceptance at the highest levels<\/a>\u2026The regulatory<\/a> development<\/a> seen here means that there is now formal acceptance at the highest levels<\/a> in the construction sector<\/a> of the kind of interdisciplinary practice<\/a> that the IHBC<\/a> promotes and regulates.”<\/p>\n
