Following the Wales Branch Chair James Drew said: \u2018I’m delighted we’ve been able to conclude this long-delayed Branch AGM.\u00a0 I\u2019m also very grateful that IHBC Chair David McDonald and IHBC member Jill Fairweather, of Cadw, could provided our excellent turnout of delegates with updates the AGM, and address questions after.\u00a0 David and Jill combined just the sort of accessible and authoritative CPD that we will be sure to continue into our evolving events programme.<\/p>\n
I’d also like to thank our new committee members and volunteers for coming forward to help get this moving.\u00a0 As with any IHBC Branch, it’s all about the volunteers as well as the members.\u00a0 So if any Branch members – of any membership category – have an interest in contributing to our efforts, in any areas, please do let us know by contacting Jude Wheeler in the first instance, at support@ihbc.org.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n Indeed Jude Wheeler, in her new role as the Support Officer on behalf of the IHBC’s National Office, has made all the difference in getting the Wales Branch committee to a place where it can move forward with renewed vigour.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018The big challenge now is to get the 2023 IHBC Swansea School in place, led by our Branch Board member John Edwards, so again let us know if you’d like to help out in the School Committee’.<\/p>\n Jude says \u2018It was a pleasure working with the acting committee, and lovely to see new faces \u2013 if virtually \u2013 at the AGM.\u00a0 This an exciting time for the Branch, reconnecting after the pandemic, and I hope to be able to meet members in person at one of the events to be organised in Wales\u2019.<\/p>\n See more background to the AGM HERE<\/a><\/p>\n
