This year the Regeneration Taskforce of The Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is hosting an innovative conference, on 17 November in London, that calls on speakers from across the public, private, government, funding and finance sectors to explore the issues surrounding historic building projects and methods for financing them, with the IHBC co-sponsoring the event and recognising it for members’ CPD purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Peter Aiers, Head of Regeneration at the CCT and IHBC member, said: \u2018This conference is an essential day for the historic buildings and community sector. Financing the Future of Historic Buildings will address the new funding scenario that those who look after historic buildings find themselves in.\u2019<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2018By bringing together the public, private and charity sectors we will explore how projects can be designed to ensure funding and sustainability. This is an exciting opportunity for challenging times, book now or be the poorer.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Hosted by the Churches Conservation Trust, the national charity protecting historic churches at risk, the conference will be led by the CCT\u2019s Regeneration Taskforce:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 The Regeneration Conference is aimed at heritage professionals, church professionals, volunteers, community groups and tradespeople with an interest in the maintenance and development of historic churches and other community buildings.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 There will be key note speakers from The Royal Bank of Scotland, Land Securities, The Churches Conservation Trust, The Heritage Lottery Fund, The Lankelly Chase Foundation and Government<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 17 November 2011, 09.30 \u2013 16.20hrs Including tea & coffee breaks, buffet lunch and finishing with a wine reception<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The whole day costs \u00a365 (\u00a332.50 for students and English Heritage Support Officers), this includes a buffet lunch during the day and a wine reception to round off the event.<\/p>\n
