Options<\/h2>\n

The School offers a variety of\u00a0delegate options<\/a>\u00a0and experiences for IHBC-linked practice support and\u00a0CPD<\/a>\u00a0across as many as 4 days.<\/h3>\n

These range from the IHBC learning-led\u00a0School Heritage MarketPlace<\/a>\u00a0(15\/06: all welcome) to the Day School (blended: 17\/06) and the Full School (15\/06-18\/06: includes tours and events for in-person delegates on 16-18\/06) .<\/h3>\n

The IHBC\u2019s 2022\u00a0Aberdeen School<\/a>\u00a0conference looks at \u2018Heritage on the Edge\u2019.\u00a0 It examines how practitioners and stakeholders can and should manage change to the most challenging of heritage.\u00a0 That heritage may be \u2018on the edge\u2019 for any of many reasons, including geography, technology, changing taste, new environmental awareness\u00a0etc.<\/em><\/p>\n

The IHBC is especially excited that\u00a0Griff Rhys Jones<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 President of the\u00a0Victorian Society<\/a>\u00a0and of\u00a0Civic Voice<\/a>\u00a0among his many other roles \u2013 will explore the challenges of conserving Victorian and other heritage that is\u00a0 \u2018on the edge\u2019, in a recorded conversation with the IHBC\u2019s Chair David McDonald.\u2019<\/p>\n

Griff Rhys Jones said: \u2018I wrote in my introduction to the\u00a0IHBC\u2019s 2020\u00a0Yearbook<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0\u2018I believe more than anything that conservation is about the future\u2019,\u00a0and that conservation is there \u2018to help manage change.\u2019<\/p>\n

The Day School and tours are the heart of the Aberdeen 2022 School.\u00a0 These are detailed on our website, while Full School delegates will access both a drinks reception on the Thursday evening and the Annual Dinner\/Civic Reception on the Friday evening.<\/p>\n

IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly said; \u2018Don\u2019t forget that both virtual and in-person delegates are invited to the IHBC\u2019s learning-led, virtual\u00a0School Heritage MarketPlace<\/a>, on the late afternoon and evening of 15 March too.\u2019<\/p>\n
