{"id":3279,"date":"2011-10-20T16:01:10","date_gmt":"2011-10-20T16:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=3279"},"modified":"2011-10-20T16:01:10","modified_gmt":"2011-10-20T16:01:10","slug":"communitybuilders-fund-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=3279","title":{"rendered":"Communitybuilders Fund update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_1319103083773988\"><span id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_1319103083773982\" style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Communitybuilders are looking for up to six of the best, most promising examples of sustainable, community regeneration projects in England to be pioneer investees of the new era of the Communitybuilders Fund, with opportunities closing on 9 December 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Communitybuilders aims to make sustainable investments in community enterprises to build their long term financial viability and increase their ability to deliver significant social impact in their communities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Communitybuilders Fund was endowed by the Department of Communities and Local Government in March 2011. The purpose of the endowment was to establish a long-term evergreen fund under stable and continued management, where loan repayments are recycled and can be reinvested in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Fund will help support exemplar projects which are unique in their offering to local communities, and help long-term regeneration. They must be innovative, enterprising and ambitious.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Communitybuilders writes:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>From 12 noon on Monday 17 October till 12 noon on Friday 9 December we welcome applications from exceptional, established organisations who are able to demonstrate impact in their communities and have credible plans for financially sustainable initiatives who can become flagship investees for Communitybuilders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re particularly interested in supporting community anchors based in England\u2019s most deprived neighbourhoods or those that can demonstrate financial contributions from their community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Communitybuilders is offering primarily capital funding which can be used for:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 property renovations and refurbishments<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 property or land purchases (and some related fees like architects and surveyors)<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 purchase of vehicles,<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 IT equipment<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 fixtures and fittings<\/p>\n<p>The minimum investment we can consider is \u00a3250,000 and the maximum you can apply for is \u00a3750,000.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Communitybuilders is primarily a loan fund and investments will have a minimum 80% loan element.
