help us all manage the democratic processes much more efficiently, and more cost-effectively, so we are especially grateful to all who make these arrangements.\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>\u2018Moreover appointing a proxy can be the simplest of processes, with our digital \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.wufoo.com\/forms\/z175f5yw1iiw5h6\/\">Short Proxy<\/a>\u2019 option, and with more details on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/agm\/index.html\">AGM webpage<\/a>.\u00a0 So please make sure you vote, and help the IHBC move past the pandemic.\u2019<\/p>\n<h2>Nominations:<\/h2>\n<p>The following members have been nominated and elected in accordance with the Articles of Association and are going forward for appointment:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trustees, Directors and Officers<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>David McDonald (Chair)<\/li>\n<li>Lone Le Vay (Vice Chair)<\/li>\n<li>Jill Kerry (Treasurer)<\/li>\n<li>Jo Evans (IHBC Secretary)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Trustees and Directors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Des Cairns (Northern Ireland branch)<\/li>\n<li>Dave Chetwyn<\/li>\n<li>John Edwards (Wales branch)<\/li>\n<li>Crispin Edwards<\/li>\n<li>Anna Grant (Scotland branch)<\/li>\n<li>Andrew Shepherd<\/li>\n<li>Sheila Stones<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In December 2021 the IHBC Chair and President together wrote to IHBC members (all categories) as follows:<\/p>\n<p>We are writing to you to notify you of the current arrangements for our 2022 AGM, to take place online, \u2018virtually\u2019, on <strong>24 February 2022 at 6.00pm<\/strong>.\u00a0 In line with our new <a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.org.uk\/business\/docs\/MASTER%20Articles%20of%20Association%20adopted%20at%20GM%20on%2026%20March%202021.pdf\">Articles<\/a>, business will include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The consideration of the accounts, balance sheets, reports of the Board (including the annual report) and auditors;<\/li>\n<li>The retirement, appointment or re-appointment of Directors, our Trustees<\/li>\n<li>The appointment of the auditors, and<\/li>\n<li>Elections to the new Board, the first constituted under our new Articles\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The details of 2022 AGM will be notified in forthcoming <em>AGM Papers,<\/em> to be issued in January, and will include the \u2018Trustees report\u2019 for 2019-20 \u2013 as the next report due for members \u2013 while also updating on current operations.\u00a0 We anticipate lots of discussion and questions on our plans after the formalities of the AGM so please do join in if at all possible!&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Remember too that while all IHBC members of all categories are as ever encouraged to attend the AGM \u2013 with IHBC CPD certificates on offer too, to reflect the status of the business \u2013 only Full, Associates and Retired members may vote.\u00a0 Voting by proxy will be available to qualifying members who cannot attend, or who want to vote in advance.<\/p>\n<p>So please be sure to extend your engagement with the modern IHBC and, through the trustee guidance linked above, current plans for our new Board.\u00a0 And, if you can, please join us from 6pm on 24 February 2022, and earlier for our virtual Council if at all possible.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Select your proxy vote (recommended) and book your place for the AGM (from 6PM) and preceding Council on 24 February<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/governance\/index.html\">HERE<\/a><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IHBC Chair and President have already notified members of the \u2018virtual\u2019 2022 AGM on 24 February 2022 at 6.00pm, after the next Council, and as nominations have closed &#8211;
