English Heritage (EH) has issued the Historic Environment Commissions Report for 2007-10, IMPACT, which for first time covers projects funded under the Historic Environment Enabling Programme (HEEP) and<\/em><\/span> the Aggregate Levy Sustainability fund (ALSF).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

EH is also reminding stakeholders that in July 2010 HEEP was re-launched as the \u2018National Heritage Protection Commissions Programme\u2019 (NHPCP).\u00a0 Under the re-launch, the aims of the grant scheme are being changed to align more closely with the National Heritage Protection Plan (NHPP), EH\u2019s new strategy to prioritise and deliver heritage protection for the next four years (2011-2015).<\/p>\n

EH notes that a new version of the Guidance for Applicants reflecting these changes is available on the National Heritage Protection Commissions Programme (NHPCP) web pages.<\/p>\n

EH also writes:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018The projects that we enable through grants from these programmes deliver understanding of the past, and encourage people to value, care for, and enjoy their historic environment.\u00a0 In financial years 2007-10 we distributed c\u00a319m on projects commissioned against national priorities in support of SHAPE English Heritage\u2019s Strategic framework for Historic environment Activities and Programmes….<\/p>\n

Following the Government’s 2010 Comprehensive Spending review, which resulted in a significant reduction in public spending the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF) was abolished on 31 March 2011….<\/p>\n

All project reports received to date are available on the Archaeology Data Service website and the Sustainable Aggregates website.\u00a0 Reports on marine projects funded via the Marine Environment Protection Fund with advice from English Heritage can be found on the Marine Environment Protection Fund website.<\/p>\n

… As part of this new method of funding to a stricter framework, NHPCP will be procuring more work through the tender process\u00a0and publishing regular calls for proposals under particular NHPP measures (details below). We will still fund unsolicited proposals, however the funds available for this are significantly diminished.\u2019<\/p>\n
