{"id":31261,"date":"2021-09-24T18:23:04","date_gmt":"2021-09-24T17:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogsnew.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=31261"},"modified":"2021-09-24T18:25:03","modified_gmt":"2021-09-24T17:25:03","slug":"ihbc-volunteers-update-call-dash-survey-now-open-closing-07-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=31261","title":{"rendered":"IHBC volunteers\u2019 update call: DASH Survey now open, closing 07\/11"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-31262\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/dash_survey_240921.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"292\" \/>The DASH (Digital Attitudes and Skills for Heritage) Survey 2021 has now launched a survey funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) to support UK heritage organisations and closing on 7 November.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">&#8230;reflect your volunteer role with IHBC, and make sure our collective strengths and needs are recognised&#8230;<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>IHBC\u2019s Professional Services Officer, Michael Netter, said: \u2018The IHBC is very keen to learn how our volunteers engage with digital resources and this survey is ideally placed to help us do so.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Please fill out the survey to reflect your volunteer role with IHBC, and make sure our collective strengths and needs are recognised.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018If you\u2019d like to complete it within your own organisation, then sign up as a \u2018DASH Champion\u2019!\u00a0 The \u2018DASH Champion\u2019 is a critical role within the organisation taking part as they will be responsible for identifying, coordinating, and encouraging staff, volunteers, trustees and freelancers to take part.\u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timmuslimited.co.uk\/dashsurvey\/about-the-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out more about this role&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2018The DASH Champion will receive the organisation\u2019s raw data and data dashboard when DASH 2021 closes on 7th November 2021, together with information on how to analyse it. This will help to assess the digital requirements in the organisation and enable to create\u00a0 steps to improve skills and performance for the future.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Whether you are a heritage organisation interested to take part or know of organisations who could benefit from it, please visit the website to find out how you can be involved.\u2019<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The DASH Report 2020 writes:<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The level of digital skills was relatively high, especially for employed staff and in relation to activities such as video conferencing, but confidence in using social media or collaborative digital platforms was lower.
