{"id":30142,"date":"2021-05-29T16:08:30","date_gmt":"2021-05-29T15:08:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogsnew.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=30142"},"modified":"2021-05-28T18:35:11","modified_gmt":"2021-05-28T17:35:11","slug":"reminder-bbc-northern-ireland-tv-restoration-rescue-series-seeks-uk-suggestions-via-the-ihbc-chair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=30142","title":{"rendered":"REMINDER: BBC Northern Ireland TV \u2018Restoration Rescue\u2019 series seeks UK suggestions, via the IHBC Chair"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/BelowtheRadar_280521.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-30143\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/BelowtheRadar_280521.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a>The IHBC network has been ask to help a TV production company in Belfast to suggest stories of home restorations from across the UK.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>IHBC Chair David McDonald said: \u2018We\u2019ve been approached by a TV production company in Belfast called Below the Radar who\u2019ve just won a new series commission with BBC Northern Ireland called \u2018Restoration Rescue\u2019, telling the stories of home restorations in Northern Ireland.\u00a0 The series follows a documentary the company made last year called \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/m000n3zz\">Restoring Ormiston\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">\u2026 focus across the whole of the UK\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">\u2026 searching for possible properties to feature\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>\u2018The team has also been asked to do some additional development work for the BBC nationally \u2013 there\u2019s interest in the series having a broader focus across the whole of the UK, for possible transmission on BBC 2.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Claire Burgoyne, Below the Radar\u2019s development producer, is now searching for possible properties to feature from across Britain as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Homes that are about to be restored \u2013 in 2021\/2022<\/li>\n<li>Home restorations that have already taken place (over the past five or so years) \u2013 they would love to find amongst other things, a restored bank building, a restored 18th peasant\u2019s cottage, a Georgian manor house, a gate lodge and an 1830s farmhouse.\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2018If you have any suggestions, Claire would be delighted to hear from you.
