Welcome to the first newsletter of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Conservation, Places and People (CPP), which exists to support built and historic environment conservation as a vehicle to deliver successful places, which are economically, environmentally and socially sustainable.<\/p>\n

As a member or valued stakeholder of the APPG, this newsletter will provide regular updates on the work of the group.<\/p>\n

APPG Launches First Inquiry<\/h2>\n

The CPP APPG offers its thanks to all contributors of evidence to the Inquiry. The inquiry\u2019s virtual oral evidence sessions, which will be held in private at the request of the CPP APPG, will begin on 26 May. The initial event will explore \u2018Heritage and the Economy\u2019, focusing on areas highlighted in the evidence submitted.<\/p>\n

MPs & Peers Briefed on Planning White Paper<\/h2>\n

<\/u>On December 3rd, the CPP AGG conducted its first Parliamentary briefing, which focused on the implications of the government\u2019s Planning White Paper for heritage and place making. The briefing heard representatives from the Local Government Association, the Institute for Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) and community umbrella group Locality.<\/p>\n

APPG Publishes Levelling Up Briefing Paper<\/h2>\n
