These places are parts of the country where involvement in the arts is significantly below the national average.<\/p>\n<p>Projects are led by consortia and must include community groups and\/or\u00a0grass-roots organisations as well as cultural organisations such as\u00a0museums, libraries or\u00a0arts organisations. Other partners might include clubs, housing associations, private-sector organisations or universities.<\/p>\n<p>There are 109 places in the bottom 33% of arts engagement, according to the Active Lives Survey November 2015 to May 2017. Of those 109 locations, 43 (highlighted in red), are already in receipt of Creative People and Places funding. This leaves 66 locations\u00a0eligible for the new funding programme.<\/p>\n<p>As with the previous programme, we will take into account existing investment and infrastructure in any place.
