In this context the design of our places is central to realising the\u00a0National Outcomes in the Scottish Government\u2019s\u00a0National Performance Framework.<\/p>\n<h2><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Collaboration\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A core aim of our strategy is to create the conditions that will ensure the\u00a0<\/span>Place Principle<span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0becomes the \u2018new normal\u2019 when planning future investment in our public services and assets.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We also know from experience that a place is better when the people who live there work together to shape it. The Place Principle, adopted by the Scottish Government in 2019, asks agencies in a place to collaborate with the people who live there to create a shared vision for its future.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Leadership\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Our role will be to provide leadership on the spatial aspects of the Place Principle to stimulate a step-change in how Scotland\u2019s places are planned, designed, delivered and sustained. We<\/span>\u00a0<span data-contrast=\"auto\">will work with our partners to demonstrate what a joined-up approach looks like and the benefits it brings. We will use our experience and professional skills to inspire and support all those involved in creating, adapting and sustaining Scotland\u2019s places.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ultimately, our strategy is to use our remit and expertise to tackle the big challenges we all face.
