As part of the IHBC\u2019s commitment to providing our members and their networks with up-to-date information on continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities and information, this monthly Circular includes upcoming Branch and National CPD opportunities, Awards, Placements, Bursaries & Scholarships, Calls for Papers and more from across the UK and beyond.<\/p>\n

\u2026 being conservation accredited can open new career paths\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

This March the IHBC\u2019s Director, Se\u00e1n O’Reilly, among others will present in GCHT\u2019s Your Career in Conservation<\/a> conference discussing how being conservation accredited can open new career paths as well as the various accreditation processes for different heritage bodies.\u00a0 Please also note we have several MSc researchers looking for knowledgeable professionals to help them out by completing research questionnaires on the topics of energy efficiency<\/a>, carbon<\/a>, and BIM<\/a> in historic buildings.<\/p>\n

If you are an IHBC Member you\u2019re welcomed to the first General Meeting and Council of 2021<\/a>, delivered virtually on 26 March starting at 1pm. Attendance is free and presents the opportunity for less familiar CPD.<\/p>\n

\u2026 IHBC Marsh Awards close at the end of this month\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

Finally, please do note submissions for the IHBC Marsh Awards close at the end of this month.\u00a0 In such a strange year we are taking a flexible approach to the typical criteria in the categories of Community Contribution by a Retired Member and Successful Learning in Heritage Skills, so if you are aware of a deserving individual please do submit for a Marsh Award!\u00a0 More information and the online submission form can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
