Scottish Construction Now<\/em> writes:<\/p>\n

To mark Scottish Apprenticeship Week, Network Rail is highlighting its\u00a0openings for apprentice engineers<\/a>, who will learn and receive expert training and on-the-job experience to launch a career in the rail industry.<\/p>\n

After an initial period of online and residential training, apprentices will join a depot close to home where they\u2019ll be assigned a specialist pathway and their work will make a difference to millions of passengers and freight customers.<\/p>\n

Rachel Hollinger, apprentice, graduate assessment and induction manager at Network Rail, said: \u201cThe rail industry is going through one of the largest transformations ever and our engineering apprentices are crucial as we build back better from COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll Network Rail apprentices gain valuable skills, experience, and nationally recognised qualifications over three years, while being supported by expert colleagues, allowing them to thrive in the rail industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd after completing our apprenticeship scheme all of our apprentices are perfectly set up to take the next step on their career journeys.\u201d<\/p>\n
