\"\"<\/a>The IHBC has updated its ToolBox<\/a> practice Guidance Note<\/a> on the Retrofitting of Traditional Buildings<\/em><\/a> – first launched at one of the \u2018IHBC Spotlight\u2019 sessions at the 2019 Annual School in Nottingham<\/a> \u2013 after author and IHBC Technical Panel Chair John Edwards revised content to reflect feedback and new developments.<\/h3>\n

John Edwards said: \u2018Buildings are and will continue to be under pressure to be made more energy efficient and whilst this is sensible, experience to date suggests that risks of unintended consequences are common.\u2019<\/p>\n

IHBC Research consultant and lead in overseeing the delivery of ToolBox<\/a> notes, Bob Kindred , said: \u2018IHBC Guidance Notes are produced as part of an integrated programme of online support for conservation practitioners, our IHBC ‘Toolbox’, being developed to help inform, advise and guide anyone interested in heritage. The Toolbox offers a wide range of resources, ‘tools’, ranging from primary research and guidelines produced on by or on behalf of the IHBC, to technical, academic and practice advice supported or endorsed by the institute. Simply follow the headings or use the search facility to find the tools for your job!\u2019<\/p>\n
