All of these are going to be vitally important as we build back from the pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Ros Kerslake, CEO of The National Lottery Heritage Fund<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Refocused priorities for 2021-22<\/h2>\n<p>Between April 2021 to March 2022, when making funding decisions,\u00a0<strong>we will prioritise heritage projects that<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>boost the local economy<\/li>\n<li>encourage skills development and job creation<\/li>\n<li>support wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>create better places to live, work and visit<\/li>\n<li>improve the resilience of organisations working in heritage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our\u00a0<strong>inclusion outcome<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a wider range of people will be involved in heritage \u2013\u00a0<strong>remains mandatory<\/strong>\u00a0for all projects we fund.<\/p>\n<p>In addition,\u00a0<strong>all projects must demonstrate they are environmentally responsible<\/strong>\u00a0and are integrating environmental measures into their projects.<\/p>\n<p>Find out more about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritagefund.org.uk\/funding\/outcomes\">the outcomes we expect projects to achieve<\/a>,\u00a0and explore the full context of our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritagefund.org.uk\/publications\/priorities-national-lottery-grants-heritage-2021-22\">Priorities for National Lottery Grants for Heritage for 2021-22<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Building back<\/h2>\n<p>Ros Kerslake, CEO of The National Lottery Heritage Fund said: \u201cHeritage has an essential role to play in making communities better places to live, creating economic prosperity and supporting personal wellbeing. All of these are going to be vitally important as we build back from the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During 2020 we focused on supporting heritage across the UK to adapt and respond to the immediate impact of the COVID-19 crisis. By the end of this financial year we will have supported more than 1,500 organisations across the heritage sector with over \u00a3500million of National Lottery and Government funding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur focus now is to support the heritage sector to strengthen its recovery and to build back for positive change \u2013 reopening applications for heritage projects is key to the success of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Same heritage<\/h2>\n<p>We are committed to supporting the same broad range of heritage projects and activities we have always supported \u2013 from industrial heritage and sites, castles and historic places of worship, to the stories and memories of our communities, through to public parks, natural landscapes and native wildlife.<\/p>\n<p>However, we expect all applications to fully reflect the changed circumstances brought about by\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0and our revised priorities for funding.<\/p>\n<p>Hear more from our Head of Strategy, Araba Webber:<\/p>\n<h2>Updated guidance<\/h2>\n<p>We have updated our National Lottery Grants for Heritage guidance in line with these revised priorities for 2021-22.<\/p>\n<p>Please take your time to read all the guidance and supporting information before you apply.
