{"id":2898,"date":"2011-07-05T15:15:01","date_gmt":"2011-07-05T15:15:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=2898"},"modified":"2011-07-05T15:15:01","modified_gmt":"2011-07-05T15:15:01","slug":"pickles-pronounces-on-liverpool-demolitions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=2898","title":{"rendered":"Pickles pronounces on Liverpool demolitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Communities Secretary Eric Pickles has decided that plans to demolish nearly 200 homes as part of a Pathfinder clearance project in the Welsh Streets area of Liverpool should be subject to environmental impact assessment (EIA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the properties involved is the birthplace and childhood home of Beatles\u2019 drummer Ringo Starr.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The council will now be required to submit a new, full planning application for demolition.
