WalesOnline<\/em> writes:<\/p>\n

The tower above Idols nightclub is 140 years old and survived the blitz, but had seen better days\u2026<\/p>\n

The tower on top of the Idols nightclub building, which was once a Post Office, has existed for around 140 years and was one part of one of the few structures in Swansea city centre to avoid being destroyed during the blitz of World War 2.<\/p>\n

\u2026 The work has been carried out by construction specialists Waingap Contracts.<\/p>\n

Leading the project for the company has been Lee Pearson, who said\u2026 \u201cWe\u2019ve had to remove the old steel and make a new frame\u2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had to create our own workshop inside the building and take the items out to the site through the window.”\u2026.<\/p>\n

The work on the building has been carried out with Welsh Government historic environment service Cadw.<\/p>\n
