{"id":27152,"date":"2020-07-28T16:13:13","date_gmt":"2020-07-28T15:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogsnew.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=27152"},"modified":"2020-07-27T18:17:17","modified_gmt":"2020-07-27T17:17:17","slug":"ihbc-says-pass-the-word-on-chair-sought-for-englands-historic-environment-forum-nominations-close-4-sept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=27152","title":{"rendered":"IHBC says \u2018Pass the word on\u2019: Chair sought for England\u2019s Historic Environment Forum, nominations close 4 Sept"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>England\u2019s\u00a0 collaborative network the Historic Environment Forum (HEF) is looking for an experienced chair to promote collaboration across the historic environment sector and lead on the transition to a new governance model, and the IHBC is encouraging members and colleagues to consider candidates and \u2018pass the word\u2019 on, with the call closing on 4 September.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The HEF writes:<\/p>\n<p>This fulfilling role will appeal to an experienced individual with a proven track record in facilitating consensus across a diverse sector to achieve the forum\u2019s goals. The responsibilities of the Chair include: chairing in-person and virtual HEF meetings and HEF Steering Group meetings; facilitating and mediating the debate between members to reach consensus; monitoring HEF members\u2019 commitment; approving the meetings\u2019 agenda and ensuring that the minutes reflect the consensus decisions made by members; providing supervision on HEF governance; signing off key materials and messages to be used in external communications; liaising with the project executive and to ensure coordination between HEF and the organisation which provides secretariat and support; chairing and participating in an annual HEF sector event.<\/p>\n<p>Time commitment: the Chair is expected to participate in HEF meetings (three 2-hours long meetings + up to 8 1.5 hour long meetings normally on-line), HEF Steering Group meetings (approximately 6 per year), and an all-day annual sector event. The total amount of work should be equal to c.7 working days.<\/p>\n<p>Start Date: October 2020. The Chair\u2019s term is limited to 3 years and can be extended for a second term.<\/p>\n<p>Remuneration: the Chair will be remunerated with a small honorarium of \u00a31,500 (gross amount) for the year 2020-21.
