With <a href=\"http:\/\/www.europeanheritageawards.eu\/winner_country\/united-kingdom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.europeanheritageawards.eu\/winner_country\/united-kingdom\/\" data-type=\"external\">62 fantastic examples <\/a>since 2002, we rank second only to Spain in the number of winning entries. This year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europanostra.org.uk\/events-1\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Project\u00a0Iron Bridge<\/a> was one of 21 \u2018exemplary achievements\u2019, winning an award in Conservation Category, while The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europanostra.org.uk\/events-1\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Crossroads of Empires Project <\/a>(Birmingham University) had a Special Mention in the Research category and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europanostra.org.uk\/blog\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Friends of Czech Heritage<\/a>\u00a0is currently shortlisted for one of the two Ilucidare special prizes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_35\">The four categories are: Conservation, Research, Dedicated service by individuals or organisations and Education, training and awareness-raising.
