Helen was previously Head of Museums and Libraries. The Heritage Alliance will be meeting Helen in June.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dr Ingrid Samuel, who was formerly the most senior heritage specialist within the Department, has taken up the post of Historic Environment Director at the National Trust.\u00a0Mick Eliott, who has been Director of Culture at DCMS since 2008, is to become CEO of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra from August.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Department\u2019s re-structure saw a reduction in the number of senior civil servants and the establishment of a new senior management team of specialist \u2018Heads of\u2019 posts, with Directors taking on a \u2018more strategic, cross-cutting role\u2019. DCMS says: \u2018The organisation will be more flexible so we can adapt to meet changing priorities. Teams will be less static and people will be encouraged to apply their skills across the business.
