pandemic-related topics shaping valued places to more than 700 delegate places, while offering special thanks to speakers, delegates and Principal <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-26161\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/HCUK.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"61\" \/>Sponsor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hcukgroup.co.uk\/\">HCUK Group: Heritage Collective<\/a>.<!--more--><\/h3>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">\u2018We were especially Layla Moran MP introduce each session&#8230;nominated Chair for planned APPG on &#8216;Conservation&#8230;<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>\u2018We were particularly delighted to have Layla Moran MP introduce each session with a personal review that touched on all the headline issues across the two sessions. \u00a0She is the nominated Chair for the planned Westminster All-Party Parliamentary Group (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.parliament.uk\/about\/mps-and-lords\/members\/apg\/\">APPG<\/a>) on \u2018Conservation, Places and People\u2019, to be supported by the IHBC.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We look forward to working closely with her and the other Group members, responding to the headline issues identified across our Virtual School programme.\u2019<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">IHBC will build on these 2020 School themes in our planned \u2018in person\u2019 Brighton School in 2021&#8230;<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>\u2018As to answers, and to moving forward, the IHBC will build on these 2020 School themes in our planned \u2018in person\u2019 Brighton School in 2021, which will expand on our \u2018OLD TOWNS | NEW FUTURES\u2019 theme.\u00a0 Then, hopefully, we will all be able to tackle the myriad challenges faced by our towns and their rural and metropolitan neighbours, but in person this time.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Lone Le Vay, IHBC Vice Chair and co-lead for the 2021 Brighton School, said: \u2018As a global event the Virtual School gathered lots of great ideas about reinventing our urban places and highlighted the positive opportunities provided by the historic environment in contributing to the creation of vibrant, inclusive and resilient towns, cities and neighbourhoods as we come out of the pandemic.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I look forward to these ideas being explored further next year at our School in Brighton in 2021.\u2019<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">&#8216;We\u2019re also offering Virtual School delegates a plethora of post-event CPD reference and support&#8230;.&#8217;<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly said: \u2018This Virtual School was a both a last-minute pandemic-shaped plan, and a first for our core team of technical experts and support, and we\u2019re delighted it all passed off so well.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It also means that we\u2019re ready now to build on the lessons learned here, and extend our services to help support our members and the great work they do is helping value, manage and sustain historic places of all types and
