{"id":26596,"date":"2020-06-12T15:54:24","date_gmt":"2020-06-12T14:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogsnew.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=26596"},"modified":"2020-06-12T15:54:24","modified_gmt":"2020-06-12T14:54:24","slug":"befs-hes-update-on-cherf-covid-historic-environment-resilience-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=26596","title":{"rendered":"BEFS HES update on CHERF: COVID Historic Environment Resilience Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-19595\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/BEFS_website_logo.png\" alt=\"BEFS logo on website\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" \/>Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) and Historic Environment Scotland (HES) have updated plans on COVID Historic Environment Resilience Forum (CHERF).<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Over the last few weeks Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) and Historic Environment Scotland (HES) have been working together to establish the COVID Historic Environment Resilience Forum (CHERF)<\/p>\n<p>BEFS writes:<\/p>\n<p>The intent behind setting up the COVID Historic Environment Resilience Forum (CHERF) is to create a collaborative space to plan, coordinate, and communicate high-level sector-wide strategies and guidance for rebuilding, recovery and strengthening resilience in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>CHERF will directly address the questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What contribution can heritage make to the country\u2019s recovery?<\/li>\n<li>What is the threat to heritage?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CHERF will work towards informing the production of a route map of medium and longer-term actions to grow sector resilience, sustainability, and evidence the sector to be a beneficial participant in Scotland\u2019s national recovery.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In doing so, the forum will investigate what the sector should look like, what skills the sector has or needs to get there, and how heritage can advocate its essential role in Scotland\u2019s recovery.
