{"id":26526,"date":"2020-06-05T16:26:31","date_gmt":"2020-06-05T15:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogsnew.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=26526"},"modified":"2020-06-05T16:26:31","modified_gmt":"2020-06-05T15:26:31","slug":"ihbcs-covid-19-signpost-88-hes-publish-six-month-action-plan-in-wake-of-pandemic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=26526","title":{"rendered":"IHBC\u2019s COVID-19 signpost 88: HES publish six-month action plan in wake of pandemic"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-23475\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Scotland_Fiona_Newton.png\" alt=\"building and seascape\" width=\"300\" height=\"293\" \/>Historic Environment\u00a0 Scotland (HES) has published a six month Action Plan in response to the impact COVID-19 has had on its business and across Scotland\u2019s wider historic environment sector.<\/h3>\n<h6><em>image: for illustration purposes only &#8211; Fiona Newton<\/em><\/h6>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>HES writes:<\/p>\n<p>HES has published a six month\u00a0<a title=\"HES Action Plan for 6 months of 2020-21 in light of COVID-19 Pandemic\" href=\"https:\/\/www.historicenvironment.scot\/archives-and-research\/publications\/publication\/?publicationId=10584acb-1c6f-43f4-8d5f-abc901111106\">Action Plan<\/a>\u00a0in response to the impact COVID-19 has had on its business and across Scotland\u2019s wider historic environment sector.<\/p>\n<p>The plan \u2013 which takes the place of the lead heritage body\u2019s usual Annual Operating Plan (AOP) &#8211; sets out the priorities for the organisation while also supporting the country\u2019s heritage sector during the current pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>It is also designed to help maintain HES\u2019s core activities, ensuring it maximises the resources available to ensure it keeps contributing to the delivery of its\u00a0<a title=\"Heritage For All: Corporate Plan 2019 Onwards\" href=\"https:\/\/www.historicenvironment.scot\/archives-and-research\/publications\/publication\/?publicationId=1f65f457-a602-4ddc-af61-aa2500933d61\">Corporate Plan<\/a>; the Scottish Government\u2019s National Performance Framework and the wellbeing of Scotland overall.<\/p>\n<p>In developing this Action Plan, HES has identified key activities in relation to each of the five outcomes and accompanying key performance indicators (KPIs) outlined in its corporate plan.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the Action Plan, HES Chief Executive Alex Paterson said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result of these unprecedented times, we have had to reconsider how we go about our business, focus on continuing to deliver essential functions while also supporting the sector during this extremely difficult period.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Despite the challenges we all face, we continue to work towards the vision and five outcomes set out in our Corporate Plan 2019 Onwards &#8211; Heritage for All.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder each of our corporate plan outcomes, we have outlined the impact of the current pandemic and identified actions covering what we are doing to address these.
