{"id":25690,"date":"2020-03-13T17:20:43","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T17:20:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=25690"},"modified":"2020-03-13T17:20:43","modified_gmt":"2020-03-13T17:20:43","slug":"ihbcs-new-monthly-cpd-circular-now-out-making-cpd-training-more-accessible-to-interdisciplinary-conservation-practitioners-at-all-career-stages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=25690","title":{"rendered":"IHBC\u2019s new monthly CPD Circular now out: Making CPD &#038; training more accessible to interdisciplinary conservation practitioners, at all career stages"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-20861\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IHBC_logo_horizontal-300x39.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"39\" \/>The IHBC has launched a new \u2018<em>CPD Circular<\/em>\u2019 to consolidate access to the best of the IHBC\u2019s own local and national Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and training events, as well as those offered by our \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/learning\/cpd_providers\/index.html\">IHBC Recognised CPD Providers<\/a>\u2019 and other conservation CPD priority events.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Michael Netter, IHBC\u2019s Professional Services Office and lead in developing the new <em>IHBC CPD Circular<\/em> said: \u2018As part of the IHBC\u2019s commitment to providing our members and their networks with up to date information on CPD opportunities, this new monthly service lists upcoming Branch and National Events, CPD opportunities, Awards, Placements, Bursaries &amp; Scholarships, and Calls for Papers, from across the UK and beyond.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The <em>CPD Circular<\/em> replaces the \u2018Branch Update\u2019 NewsBlogs, more succinctly and accessibly reporting in these opportunities.\u00a0 So all Branches should continue to let me know of any relevant events as soon as they can.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The circular is planned to be distributed monthly, and seeks to form a \u2018three month look ahead\u2019 to events and happenings in the near future.\u00a0 The aim is to present a geographically diverse opportunity set to ensure all IHBC members have access to, and knowledge of, the most accessible CPD opportunities nearby.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>David McDonald, IHBC Chair, said: \u2018I&#8217;m pleased to welcome this new initiative.
