{"id":25507,"date":"2020-02-28T16:22:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-28T16:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=25507"},"modified":"2020-02-28T16:22:00","modified_gmt":"2020-02-28T16:22:00","slug":"hes-in-the-scottish-budget-2020-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=25507","title":{"rendered":"HES in the Scottish Budget 2020-21"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-25508\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/ScottishBudget2020-21-204x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"204\" height=\"300\" \/>Details of funding for Historic Environment Scotland (HES) in the Scottish Government\u2019s draft budget are reported by BEFS.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>BEFS writes:<\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Government published its Budget 2020-21 on 6 February with details on the funding of Historic Environment Scotland within the Culture, Tourism and External Affairs portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>The total budget for HES in 2020-21 is \u00a3100.1 million, an increase of 7%.<\/p>\n<p>Capital Expenditure remains at \u00a36 million but the rest of the grant has increased to \u00a333.8 million, an increased of 10% following a 5% reduction the previous year. This is against HES generating a forecast income of \u00a363.3 million, a 6% increase over the previous period.<\/p>\n<p>While the Draft Budget states that HES will continue to dispense grants it does not specify the amount.
