It will set out a pathway to meeting the UK\u2019s new net-zero emissions target in 2050, and is the first carbon budget to be legislated following that commitment.<\/p>\n<p>Responses to the Call for Evidence will help to inform the Committee\u2019s analysis over the next six months. It covers five key topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Climate science and international circumstances<\/li>\n<li>The path to the 2050 target<\/li>\n<li>Delivering carbon budgets<\/li>\n<li>Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and<\/li>\n<li>Emissions reductions in key sectors of the UK economy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the Committee is seeking input on Wales\u2019 third carbon budget and interim emissions targets.<\/p>\n<p>The Call for Evidence is open to all.
