{"id":24864,"date":"2019-12-17T17:29:22","date_gmt":"2019-12-17T17:29:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=24864"},"modified":"2019-12-17T17:29:22","modified_gmt":"2019-12-17T17:29:22","slug":"reminder-ihbc-consultation-on-corporate-plan-2020-25-cp25-stage-1-scoping-first-responses-sought-by-1-january","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=24864","title":{"rendered":"Reminder: IHBC consultation on Corporate Plan 2020-25 (\u2018CP25\u2019) \u2018Stage 1\u2019 scoping &#8211; First responses sought by 1 January"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-24563\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/CP25-218x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"218\" height=\"300\" \/>IHBC\u2019s members and prospective members are asked to study, scrutinise and feed back on the IHBC\u2019s evolving Corporate Plan for 2020-25 \u2013 called\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IHBC-Corporate-Plan-2020-25-CP25-Consulation-v.011119-.pdf\">\u00a0CP25\u00a0<\/a>\u2013 and let us know what we need to add, change or develop in the forward plans for our next five years, with responses encouraged by 1 January 2020.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>IHBC Chair David McDonald said: \u2018The new plan builds on the success of our current guiding document, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/news\/docs\/IHBC%20Corporate%20Plan%202015-20%20-%20'CP20'%20-%20Adopted%20AGM%2019%20June%202015.pdf\">Corporate Plan for 2015-20<\/a>\u00a0or, more familiarly, \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/news\/docs\/IHBC%20Corporate%20Plan%202015-20%20-%20'CP20'%20-%20Adopted%20AGM%2019%20June%202015.pdf\">CP20<\/a>\u2019.\u00a0 Very positive feedback from the surveys and analysis undertaken from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=20011\">2017<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=20011\">after<\/a>\u00a0indicated that CP20 offered the perfect start for this next phase in the IHBC\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Now, CP25 focusses on consolidating the more ambitious plans continuing from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/news\/docs\/IHBC%20Corporate%20Plan%202015-20%20-%20'CP20'%20-%20Adopted%20AGM%2019%20June%202015.pdf\">CP20<\/a>\u00a0including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>refining our governance, by modernising our constitution<\/li>\n<li>building political weight for conservation advocacy<\/li>\n<li>Enhancing our professional support infrastructure, including for that through our local Branches, and<\/li>\n<li>targeting capacity in our charitable operations through donations with an evolving fundraising strategy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2018The clear priority is to maintain all our core, familiar services \u2013 including training and learning support alongside a closer engagement with practitioners of all backgrounds and career profiles.\u00a0 This way we will continue to help members squeeze the most value out of the comparatively tiny fees that, as a professional body and charity, we need to charge keep developing.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This consultation is at an early stage, so it is very open, and even our measures and targets have yet to be determined.\u00a0 Members still may usefully feed back thoughts on our draft to Branch officers; to our committees and representatives, as well as to our trustees and other officers, all as suits.\u00a0 Anyone may also use the dedicated email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:IHBCCP25@ihbc.org.uk\">IHBCCP25@ihbc.org.uk<\/a>\u00a0to input more formally into the process.
