{"id":24559,"date":"2019-11-15T17:47:37","date_gmt":"2019-11-15T17:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=24559"},"modified":"2020-09-09T17:06:43","modified_gmt":"2020-09-09T16:06:43","slug":"ihbc-president-launches-next-ihbc-marsh-awards-your-new-chance-to-nominate-retired-ihbc-members-and-or-successful-learners-for-our-awards-closin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=24559","title":{"rendered":"IHBC President launches next #IHBCMarshAwards: \u2018Your new chance to nominate \u2018retired IHBC members\u2019 and\/or \u2018successful learners\u2019 for our awards\u2019, closing 29 Feb 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-17001\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IHBCMarshAwards_Flyer_image2017.png\" alt=\"IHBC Marsh Awards\" width=\"250\" height=\"358\" \/>The<a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.org.uk\/marshawards\/\"> IHBC\u2019s Marsh Awards<\/a>, developed in partnership with the Marsh Christian Trust, has entered its successful fifth year with the launch of the two 2020 Awards \u2013 one celebrating civic contributions of retired IHBC members, and one for successful learning in heritage skills \u2013 with prizes for each that include \u00a3500 and a free place at the IHBC\u2019s Brighton <a href=\"https:\/\/brighton2020.ihbc.org.uk\/\">2020 Annual School<\/a>, with a closing date for this year of 29 February 2020.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>IHBC President Mike Brown is encouraging members to consider nominations for the Marsh Awards for \u2018Successful Learning in Heritage Skills\u2019, and for \u2018Community Contribution (Retired Member of the IHBC)\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Brown said: \u2018The nomination process is extremely simple, while the winners are recognised with cash awards of \u00a3500 and a free full place at the IHBC\u2019s Annual School every June, where we present the awards.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018For learners, both the funding and the education from the School could be a critical step-up in their trade or career.
