This funding will help\u00a0put communities and their partners in control of the management of green spaces of value to\u00a0them; and contribute resource towards improving the condition of these spaces to ensure they are\u00a0in good condition.<\/p>\n<p>The Pocket Parks\u00a0scheme builds on the success of the 2018 Pocket Parks Plus Scheme which has delivered funding\u00a0to 198 projects across England. The scheme provides support, through grants to community-led\u00a0bodies working in partnership with their local authority, with the aim of creating new pocket parks\u00a0or bringing existing green spaces up to a safe, usable and inviting standard. Improved green\u00a0spaces will have long-term benefits supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing,\u00a0bringing communities together or tackling loneliness and isolation by providing an accessible local\u00a0space.
