{"id":2420,"date":"2011-02-23T18:14:36","date_gmt":"2011-02-23T18:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=2420"},"modified":"2011-02-23T18:14:36","modified_gmt":"2011-02-23T18:14:36","slug":"heritage-alliance-new-parliamentary-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=2420","title":{"rendered":"Heritage Alliance: new Parliamentary Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Heritage Alliance has announced that IHBC member Henry Russell OBE, a member of the IHBC, has been appointed as its new Parliamentary Liaison Officer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Henry, who represents the RICS Conservation Forum on the Alliance\u2019s Spatial Planning Advocacy Group (SPAG), is Course Director for the postgraduate course in\u00a0Conservation of the Historic Environment at the College of Estate Management, Reading.\u00a0 Among other heritage commitments he\u00a0is also\u00a0Chairman of Gloucester Diocesan Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Henry\u2019s work will be complemented\u00a0by additional support from Dr Sarah McCarthy. Sarah is Secretary of CBA London\u00a0and\u00a0is a freelance consultant\u00a0with a\u00a0PhD in Public Archaeology.<\/p>\n<p>Henry and Sarah\u00a0will start immediately (Monday 21 February) to bring Alliance members&#8217; concerns over the Localism Bill to the attention of parliamentarians and others as the Bill progresses towards Royal Assent.
