\"logo\"With Continuing Professional Development (CPD)<\/a> a mandatory duty for all accredited IHBC members (i.e. <\/em>Full and Associate) and recommended for Affiliates (i.e<\/em> non-accredited), the 2019 Annual School in Nottingham<\/a> (4-6 July) on \u2018Heritage, Risk & Resilience\u2019, offers some of the best heritage learning around (up to 24 hours!), while the Institute is also offering analytics, guidance and certification to help support development of your skills and competences.<\/h3>\n

James Caird, IHBC Chair, said: \u2018Through our CPD programmes and support we help practitioners access, understand and manage their specialist professional skill, knowledge and experience.\u00a0 This means they can appreciate the unique accreditation processes and priorities that, as a body supporting a specialist interdisciplinary membership, the IHBC must require for successful conservation practice and accreditation.\u2019<\/p>\n

IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly said: \u2018Expanding support for members\u2019 CPD at our School means we can better guide and lead delegates \u2013 and their employers and sponsors \u2013 on targeting and maximising CPD outcomes and benefits.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018For the Belfast School last year we piloted substantial online CPD guidance on learning resources\u2013 to help delegates target their personal priorities.\u00a0 We\u2019re repeating our model analyses of content again this year, and extending our support!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018All this should help delegates prepare fully for the event, and help maximise CPD benefits against personal CPD plans.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018This year we are again offering the chance for delegates \u2013 and also those who cannot make it along \u2013 to enhance the impact of the School programme.\u00a0 Anyone can use the School website to prepare and explore content, and so make the most of the event whether as attendees or as distance learners.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Finally \u2013 as a pilot innovation for this year \u2013 we are offering our new-design, personalised IHBC CPD certification for all School delegates.\u00a0 This means you can have a formal document confirming your engagement with the CPD opportunities in the School itself.\u2019<\/p>\n

Chair of the Annual School\u2019s Branch Organising Committee Justin Webber said: \u2018Our local members are looking forward to welcoming visitors to Nottingham for what promises to be a real CPD highlight of the year. The quality and range of talks on offer mean this will be a unique opportunity for people to transform their understanding of the subjects, with a particular focus on practical learning points that can be taken away and applied.\u2019<\/p>\n
