{"id":22894,"date":"2019-06-04T17:49:30","date_gmt":"2019-06-04T16:49:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=22894"},"modified":"2019-06-04T17:49:30","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T16:49:30","slug":"rtpi-announces-new-chair-of-board-of-trustees-sue-bridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=22894","title":{"rendered":"RTPI announces new Chair of Board of Trustees: Sue Bridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-22895 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/RTPI_SueBridge_040619.png\" alt=\"person\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>The RTPI has announced that current Vice-Chair Sue Bridge FRTPI has been elected as the new Chair of RTPI\u2019s Board of Trustees.<\/h3>\n<h6><em>image: RTPI<\/em><\/h6>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>RTPI writes:<\/p>\n<p>Sue, who will serve for a term of 18 months starting from 1 June 2019, will help the RTPI to create a new corporate strategy to ensure a sustainable,\u00a0modern and growing organisation.<\/p>\n<p>Sue has a wealth of planning experience, having worked as a senior local government officer and as the Director of independent planning consultancy Sue Bridge Consulting.<\/p>\n<p>She has been a member of the RTPI\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtpi.org.uk\/about-the-rtpi\/governance\/general-assembly\/\">General Assembly<\/a>\u00a0since 2015 and a Chartered Member of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtpi.org.uk\/about-the-rtpi\/governance\/board-of-trustees\/\">Board of Trustees<\/a>\u00a0since 2017. She is also a previous Chair of the Policy, Practice and Research Committee and has acted as a judge for both the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtpi.org.uk\/events\/awards\/awards-for-planning-excellence\/\">Awards for Planning Excellence<\/a>\u00a0and for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtpi.org.uk\/knowledge\/research\/rtpi-awards-for-research-excellence\/\">Awards for Research Excellence<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The electorate for this important election were the RTPI\u2019s General Assembly members &#8211; there was an 81.4% turnout.
