IHBC\u2019s Council+ meetings welcome members of all categories and levels of knowledge, with the opportunity to focus on continuing professional development (CPD) and explore and learn more about the IHBC and inform its future.<\/p>\n
The next event, on May 2, focusses on how the IHBC supports membership accreditation, offers oversight and generates critical review opportunities though our MATE sessions: Membership Application Training Events.\u00a0 We will introduce delegates to the MATE programme, review the process to date, and explore how we can improve our support.<\/p>\n
James Caird, IHBC Chair, said: \u2018Through our MATE sessions \u2013 some run in partnership with the Branches, others taking place in businesses, organisations and national partners such as Church Care and Historic Environment Scotland \u2013 we offer the opportunity for delegates to understand better the unique accreditation processes and priorities that, as a body supporting a specialist interdisciplinary membership, we require for successful conservation accreditation.\u2019<\/p>\n
David Kincaid, IHBC Trustee and Chair of the Membership and Ethics Committee said: \u2018CPD is integral to being a member of a professional membership body.\u00a0 This Council+ offers a forum in which we can focus on the area of membership accreditation, and help you hone your CPD plans, while also supporting our progress.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018It is also offers a very special opportunity to talk informally with fellow IHBC members, meet new colleagues, and contribute as volunteers, wherever you are in the membership process.\u2019<\/p>\n
