The move means the city will shoulder payments of at least \u00a325m for decades to come.\u00a0 City Property, one of Glasgow\u2019s eight arms-length external organisation (Aleo), will take over the buildings and venues although details have yet to emerge.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the city\u2019s Aleos are also charities, however City Property isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Aitken said: \u2018It will be challenging and over time we may have to make some difficult decisions but we are confident that we can balance our budget without having to make very drastic cuts.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Aitken said the Scottish Government is not helping to finance the settlement.\u00a0 She added: \u2018The people of Scotland shouldn&#8217;t have to pay for Glasgow&#8217;s mistakes. Other local authorities have settled equal pay liabilities on their own. This is Glasgow&#8217;s problem.
