{"id":21824,"date":"2019-02-26T17:27:13","date_gmt":"2019-02-26T17:27:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=21824"},"modified":"2019-02-26T17:27:13","modified_gmt":"2019-02-26T17:27:13","slug":"resilient-heritage-grant-for-holtop-welcomed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=21824","title":{"rendered":"Resilient Heritage Grant for HOLTOP welcomed"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/HOLTOP_homepage_260219.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-21825\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/HOLTOP_homepage_260219.png\" alt=\"website\" width=\"300\" height=\"310\" \/><\/a>The Heritage of London Trust Operations Ltd (HOLTOP) has announced that it has received a \u00a342,900 National Lottery grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund towards total project costs of \u00a370,000.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Alice Yates of HOLTOP writes:<\/p>\n<p>In the year HOLTOP marks its 25<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary, the Trust is thrilled to have an opportunity to thoroughly review the landscape in which it works.<\/p>\n<p>A strategic plan will be developed based on the results of an independent review, which will assess the factors influencing the Trust\u2019s work; identifying opportunities and challenges, while also assessing governance arrangements, and financial sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>As an established Building Preservation Trust, led by a professional Project Organiser, the project also aims to share the Trust\u2019s experience of rescuing, and converting \u2018Heritage at Risk\u2019 buildings with a wider audience. A series of 5 informal workshops will be run for volunteers involved with the rescue of important community buildings. Topics will focus on early stage project work, and include: commissioning an Options Appraisal; interviewing a professional team; securing funds from private sources; asset transfer and partnerships. An Options Appraisal delivered on behalf of Ealing Council, and funded by the NLHF, the AHF, and Ealing Council, will be led by Butler Hegarty Associates, to establish a new use for the Grade II listed chapels at South Ealing Cemetery.
