Naturally\u2026 and packed with free IHBC-recognised CPD &#8211; 30 April-2 May, ExCel!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-21393\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/NaturalStoneShow2019_180119.png\" alt=\"website\" width=\"300\" height=\"419\" \/>The IHBC will host its regular stand at the Natural Stone Show\u2019s Conservation Area in April, in London\u2019s ExCel, so please be sure to visit us there, and remember that this busy event also offers lots of free IHBC-recognised CPD including the regular Conservation Day, on Thursday 2 May.<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18541 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IHBC_CPD_AOC_March2018-e1522162208954.png\" alt=\"logo\" width=\"225\" height=\"134\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>IHBC Director Sean O\u2019Reilly said; \u2018The Natural Stone Show offers the IHBC another great chance to promote the work of our members, alongside our standards and services.\u00a0 And as ever we are hugely grateful to Historic England for offering us this opportunity to join with them and other like-minded conservation organisations in the Conservation Area there!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We have lots to pass on to Stone Show delegates about our work, from well-established services such as our listing of conservation businesses through IHBC\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/hespr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HESPR<\/a>, to new services such as our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.designingbuildings.co.uk\/wiki\/Conservation_wiki\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Conservation Wiki<\/a> web platform and our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/marshawards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marsh Awards<\/a> &#8211; for both retired IHBC members active in the community and for \u2018successful heritage learning\u2019.\u00a0 And that is before we get to highlighting core services such as the accreditation of our members\u2019 inter-disciplinary skills and the benefits of IHBC membership.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018With a dedicated Conservation Day, on Thursday 2 May led by Historic England and the English Stone Forum, the programme is hugely relevant to both the generalist and the most specialist interests of our members.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018And it is all free\u2026 except for getting there of course.\u2019<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Stone Show 2019 writes:<\/p>\n<article class=\"article article--default\">\n<div class=\"article__header-body\">\n<div class=\"article__body\">\n<p class=\"ck-headline\"><strong>Help safeguard the UK\u2019s built heritage<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Natural Stone Show\u2019s Conservation Area provides free advice, enlightening case studies and a forum for the exchange of information experience and opinions, helping you select the correct stone for building repair. Stone is an important part of the \u00a33.6 billion conservation sector and has a thriving community of specialists committed to safeguarding the UK\u2019s built heritage.
