We have a whole host of events lined up for the campaign which including running England&#8217;s Favourite Conservation Area for a second year.<\/p>\n<p>This will also be the theme for next\u00a0year&#8217;s\u00a0National\u00a0Civic Day\u00a0as we see \u2018conservation areas in action\u2019, taking place on 22nd\u00a0June 2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/civicvoice.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=5128291c803f66657704671f8&amp;id=21bb4c55f7&amp;e=78636f19e5\">Get involved here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Civic action in conservation areas is absolutely key to the future of the historic environment. Get\u00a0National Civic Day 2019\u00a0in the diary.<\/p>\n<p>We plan to continue being an ever present voice for the movement in Parliament through our\u00a0All Party Parliamentary Group for Civic Societies\u00a0events. We have three events in the pipeline with the first event taking place on 25th\u00a0February, debating the \u2018The future of high street\u00a0conservation areas\u2019. With over 70 at risk conservation areas being high streets themselves, we will be considering how the historic environment can be a catalyst to the future of our high streets. Our supporters and members will always be the first ones to know about future events.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Civic Voice Design Awards\u00a0will\u00a0continue to grow and put communities at the heart of development, but in 2019, we want to spread the lessons from the Awards and use them to inform the Government&#8217;s Building Better, Building Beautiful\u00a0Commission.<\/p>\n<p>We need ideas\u00a0of how greater community consent can be achieved for new developments<\/p>\n<p>What is high quality design? What is beautiful? How do we define beauty in the built environment?<\/p>\n<p>We have a series of events and conferences planned and we will be announcing them at the start of 2019! Thank you to all who have donated to our Building Better, Building Beautiful fundraising campaign, thanks to your generous support, we are well on our way towards our \u00a35k target!<\/p>\n<p>The only way Civic Voice can carry\u00a0out all of this great work is through the continued support of our members.
