{"id":20993,"date":"2018-12-07T17:24:54","date_gmt":"2018-12-07T17:24:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=20993"},"modified":"2018-12-07T17:24:54","modified_gmt":"2018-12-07T17:24:54","slug":"ihbcs-latest-council-corners-the-tables-to-see-how-best-to-deliver-member-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=20993","title":{"rendered":"IHBC\u2019s latest Council+ corners the tables to see how best to deliver member services"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/CouncilNov2018_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21030 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/CouncilNov2018_1.jpg\" alt=\"people\" width=\"5128\" height=\"2861\" \/><\/a>The IHBC has concluded the 7th meeting of its \u2018Council+\u2019, the institute\u2019s UK-wide forum for volunteers\u2019 national oversight and development, which took place in Regents Park, London, which included an active \u2018four corner debate\u2019 on how best to deliver the most vital services to our members.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>IHBC Chair James Caird said: \u2018Our Council+ offers great opportunities to build skills and inform our planning and governance.\u00a0 It also helps the careers and prospects of members joining in.\u00a0 So if you do want to get involved, just let us know\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This was the seventh Council + since they were introduced by the IHBC+ \u2018experimental evolution\u2019 of 2015 and they go from strength to strength.\u00a0 Since the inception IHBC+ members continue to make it clear that they want the most democratic, transparent accessible organisation possible, while still putting values \u2013 both professional and economic \u2013 at the centre of their needs.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Following a morning of reports and updates, including the programme of planning Annual Schools to Wales in 2022, the afternoon allowed IHBC volunteers from across the country volunteers to contribute their opinions and ideas.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon \u2018Forum\u2019 used a \u2018four-corner debate\u2019 to test thoughts on how the IHBC might evolve to best present the vital services and core values sought by members.\u00a0 Delegates positioned themselves around the room according to the level of agree\u00a0 &#8211;
