The Victorian Society and other reports on how Sheffield\u2019s old Coroner’s Court building has become another victim of arson highlight how the IHBC\u2019s upcoming Nottingham School, in July and on \u2018Heritage, Risk and Resilience\u2019, is of special relevance to CPD needs of IHBC members with responsibilities in managing threats, responding to calamities and responding to Heritage at Risk (HAR).<\/p>\n

The Victorian Society writes:<\/p>\n
\u2018The old Coroner’s Court building in Sheffield has become another victim of arson, just months before its demolition notice was unexpectedly withdrawn following several objections from heritage campaigners (including ourselves). The fire took hold last month and the extent of the damage has still not been revealed, though views from the road show sections of the roof and the first floor windows intact\u2026.<\/p>\n
..The Coroner’s Court was built in 1913 by architect F.E.P Edwards and is a non-designated heritage asset.\u2019<\/p>\n
